Weekly Family News

I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for supporting your students at NECP. We have been talking with our students about how we show up every day and show our Pride, Responsibility, Excellence, and Perseverance. When we do those things, we set ourselves up for future success!

And our students are showing up in big ways! They are arriving in uniform every day. Our attendance for the year so far is over 93%! We are seeing our students learning and growing their skills all of their subjects every day!

This week at our community meeting, we talked about having dreams for what we want to be when we grow up. We know our students have big dreams for their futures and we know you have them too. We want all of our students to learn everything they need to at NECP to help them reach those dreams!

Affirmations and Celebrations

This week, we had many celebrations at our Friday community meeting this week! We celebrated our classes with the best attendance for the week, celebrated the students who earned the Top Eagle awards for their class by earning the most positive affirmations for the week and the classes with the cleanest classrooms with the Clean Nest award!

1st Grade- Rasmi, Deyvi, Axel

2nd Grade- Andreas, Karim, Helen

3rd Grade- Kyrie, Paloma, Mohamed, Henry

4th Grade- Erick, Kaitlynn, Andelin, Amira, Wesley, Everson

5th Grade- Iqbal, Emilia, Saeed

6th Grade- Danna, Manal, Adna

Middle School- Brianna C, Brian, Ximena, Bryant, Jorge, Nareen, Nada, Nadia, Iman

Best Attendance Award:

7th Grade with 96.2%!

If your family is facing any sort of challenge that prevents your family from arriving on time and in uniform, please contact our main office.

(Reminder) Do you have the ParentSquare App?

Have you downloaded the ParentSquare app on your phone yet? Downloading the app and turning on notifications are the best way to make sure you stay up to date on information from your student's teacher and NECP.

We currently have 52% of our parents have downloaded the app, but it would be great to see that number even higher!

Did you know you can also like posts from your student's teacher or from our school? It's a great way for us to know you've seen our messages.

(Reminder) Fall Family Night

Save the date for our fall family night on Thursday, November 12th from 6pm to 7pm.

We will also be hosting a high school fair so 8th grade families can begin to learn about high school options for their student.

We hope you can join us!

(Reminder) School Pictures Available Online

To see if your child's pictures are available to view, please log in to your account at mylifetouch.com. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one using your email address.

To locate your child's photos, you'll need their Student ID or Portrait ID and Access Code EVTDJ9TXK. If you don't have this information, you can:

Check your inbox for an email from Lifetouch that may contain your access credentials and a direct link to your child's images.
Wait for your proof sheet to arrive, which will include your Portrait ID and Access Code.
Contact the Lifetouch Help Center for assistance

Please note that pictures may not become available for all students at the same time, so check back later if you don't see your child's images yet.

Picture retake day is Wednesday, November 11. Photo proofs were sent home this week. If you would like your child to retake their picture you should send the proof back to school with them on retake day. If your child was absent on picture day they will be able to take their picture on retake day.

REMINDER: Now Accepting Enrollments!

We are still accepting applications for students to attend Northeast College Prep for the 2026-2027 school year! Applications can be found on our website and are available in English, Spanish, Somali, and Arabic.

Please share our information with friends, family, and neighbors who may be looking for a school for their student this fall!
